beautiful organ of human face and so it is quite necessary to sustain the
beauty of an eye lifelong. Well, it is not that difficult to take care of an
eye, healthier eating is the foremost step in vision care. Apart from this for
natural eyesight improvement, you could probably wear sunglasses while going
out in sun or follow some eye exercises to improve eyesight. During some point
of time in your life, you would have probably heard from someone or your mom
that don’t do this or don’t do that, this would hurt you or getting in sun
would damage your eyes, stop sitting in front of computer screen for hours. But
how many of you know that what exactly is good or bad for your eyes? Let us

Reading in dim light is harmful for
eyes
Fact- Reading in dim light is not always harmful for the
eyes. The fact is using eyes in dim light does not always cause damage to us.
Since centuries, all night time reading and sewing used to be done by
candlelight or by gas and kerosene lamps. A good lightening always makes
reading books easier and prevents eye fatigue.

Computers damage our eyes
Fact- The fact is using computers or video display
terminals (VDT) not always cause damage to eyes. Sometimes when we use VDT for
a little longer period of time while doing some other work, our eye blink less
often than normal. Because of this reduced rate of blinking eye becomes dry and
this causes feeling of eye strain or fatigue. Always give a slight break in
between work and look here and there at other objects. This will relax your
eyes and soothes headache or eye strain.

Wrong eyeglasses damage eyes
Fact- Eyeglasses are the devices which are used to
sharpen our vision. However wearing correct eyeglasses or contact lenses helps
to see things clearly and not wearing eyeglasses or lens may not even cause
physical damage to the eyes. It is recommended for children who are less than
eight years old to wear their own prescription which would prevent the risks of
developing amblyopia or lazy eye.

Watching television closely can
damage eyes
Fact- Children could often found to be holding reading
material really close to their eyes or they sit right in front of the
television screen. There has not been any evidence that this may cause harm to
the eyes.

Cataract can be removed with lasers
Fact- It
is a myth that cataract can be removed with lasers, instead the cloudy lens
require surgical incision. After surgery, the membrane in eye become cloudy and
it can be opened with a laser surgery.

Lens prevent nearsightedness from
getting worse
Fact- There is myth among people that using contact lens
may permanently correct nearsightedness so that an eye won’t require contacts.
But there is no evidence that contact lens produce permanent improvement in eye
vision.
Not only

consider them as a fact of the life.
